NAFEPA wants to help connect members with
professional education services that can be provided by NAFEPA
members. In that spirit, we are initiating a new feature on our
Members Only web page. If you do independent work as a
consultant, or if you provide professional development for
others through your school district, and you want to let
your
colleagues know about it, this is what you can do:
-
If you want to use this service, email Elizabeth at
elizabeth.pinkerton@frontiernet.net and she will send you the
form to fill out or download form now.
-
The Executive Committee will review all
applications, and approve them FOR posting on our Members Only web
page.
-
It is as simple as that.
-
When you check the Members Only page and find that
you are interested in what a colleague has to offer, contact the
person directly.
-
All discussions, negotiations, and arrangements for
the professional services are between two NAFEPA members.

“Your Very Own NCLB Coloring Book”
Written and illustrated by John A. Pfaff
"As a child, do you remember what your
favorite color was? Was it yellow? blue? orange?
or maybe fuchsia? Mine was pink and black. What
is your favorite color today? Has it changed?
Mine did. Today it's magenta." states John
Pfaff, author of his NCLB Coloring Book.
What is the purpose of the NCLB Coloring Book?
The
book serves several purposes. Its original intent was to
be used in conjunction with presentations to help
educators, parents and the public better understand the
various parts of the NCLB Act. By using humor, educators
could release anxieties over the law and yet laugh at
the portions they know need adjustments when the Act is
reviewed and modified.
With parents, it has the same purpose of informing
families of the law and reviewing integral parts of the
law parents need to know about to help assure their
child receives the learning support provided in the Act.
Humor helps parents better understand the segments of
the law that involve them in the education of their
child.
Many educators have purchased the book to enhance
their presentations for local staff development
activities.
The coloring books have been used for retirement,
birthday or other gifts.
Speaking and book purchases
National, state, and local presentations have been
numerous. John's most recent presentations center on his
humorous look at NCLB.
Audiences have included school board members,
administrators, parents and teachers.
