2013
Dear NAFEPA Members:
It is indeed a pleasure to serve as the President of the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators, also known as NAFEPA. We have just concluded our annual conference in Washington DC, and the evaluations from our attendees make it clear that it was as outstanding as we thought it was.
Our wonderful presenters provided us with much valuable information about the status of federal programs. They also made us feel encouraged about the work we do to support our students in our local school districts. They truly made us believe that one person can indeed make a difference in the lives of many students.
We hope that federal program administrators are already planning to join us next year at our 40th Year Celebration of NAFEPA. We began as a tiny organization in 1974, and here we are now with nearly 4,000 members from across the nation. We continue to Move Forward in the 21st Century via Federal Programs guaranteeing a Quality Education for All Students.
Our 2014 conference will be at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC once again, and our dates are March 16-19, 2014. We will likely begin registration in November 2013, so keep those dates in mind. And, keep in touch with us through this web page.
One of our annual events at the conference is the recognition of state leaders from across the nation. Each year we identify deserving individuals for their dedication and commitment to serving NAFEPA, for their educational programs, and most importantly, for how they serve our children. We have recognized hundreds of state leaders in the past years, and it is always a pleasure to be part of this recognition.
The presentations from the 2013 conference are posted on our web site where all our members have access to them. If you are not a member, and you would like to join us, the registration form is here for you. If your state is affiliated with NAFEPA, you can also join NAFEPA through your state organization.
Thank you and may all of you have a blessed and wonderful 2013!
Debra Baros, NAFEPA President
